FAQ

1.  What types of leathers do we use?
Depending upon the specific product, and its intended use, we utilize various leathers including goat, calf, ostrich, alligator, crocodile, and others.

2.  What materials do we use for bookbinding?
We use the finest acid free materials such as full rag papers, linen threads & cords, and silk threads.

3.  What "use and care" instructions for our leather items?
Cleaning:  A soft bristle brush used very gently to remove dried dirt.  For greasy or more stubborn stains, use a damp, soft cloth or brush along with a mild bar soap.  Emollients, such as creams, oils or polishes, may alter this natural aging process and cause unintentional discoloration.  A water-dampened cloth will remove most stains and dirt and the use of quality leather waxes or polishes will help protect and brighten the gleaming finish of this collection.

4. How long does it take for my order to get filled?
Most of our products are made to customer specifications, and depending upon the complexity of the order can take from weeks to months to complete.  A few of our products are "stock" items, which we will try to keep in stock for same day shipping.  (Subject to availability.)

5.  Our Guarantee?
If our product does not withstand the rigors of normal use within one year, we will gladly repair the item, or if it is not repairable, replace the item free of charge.  After one year, we will repair any item that has become damaged or worn.  Repair costs vary, depending on the condition of the item, but will not exceed half of the current price for that particular item.  Please contact us before sending us an item.

6.  Love Orchids?
Peter's wife Heather, is a cultivator of over 550 exotic orchids, propagating, growing, and selling them. In Peter's spare time, he built a detached fully heated 500 sq.ft. greenhouse to house this collection.  Please contact Peter if you are interested in purchasing some beautiful orchids; they can be safely shipped anywhere within the continental United States.  We can email you pictures of specific orchids along with prices.
